The Gwangju Employers Federation (Chairman Yang Jin-seok) announced on the 25th that the Middle-aged Tomorrow Center (hereinafter referred to as the Middle-aged Center), which it operates, is running a 'Life Career Planning Program' for employees of member companies.
The Middle-aged Center has established dedicated counters for middle-aged individuals at the Employment Welfare Plus Centers in Buk-gu and Gwangsan-gu, operating various programs not only for reemployment but also for preparing for a second life for middle-aged people in the region.
The Life Career Planning Program was conducted at the Gwangsan Sharing Center, with 19 retirees from Marine Energy Co., Ltd. participating to support career planning focused on work in preparation for the era of 100-year lifespans. The detailed education programs included ▲wise asset management ▲career planning for reemployment ▲startup consulting ▲methods for health and leisure activities. In particular, the program received great responses from participants by providing information on startup support policies in cooperation with the Small Enterprise and Market Service and offering commercial district information for prospective entrepreneurs.
Kim Jae-jung, director of the Middle-aged Center, said, “In the era of 100 years, it is very important to plan how to spend the remaining 40 years if you retire at 60,” adding, “The Middle-aged Center will support the life planning of employees of member companies through life planning, reemployment, and startup programs.”
