View original imageDaejeon City held the '2024 Daejeon Job and Startup Fair for People with Disabilities' at Daejeon City Hall at 2 PM on the 24th.
The fair, hosted by the Daejeon branch of the Korea Association of the Employment Promotion of the Disabled and the Daejeon Regional Headquarters of the Korea Employment Agency for Persons with Disabilities, featured 22 companies interested in hiring people with disabilities, offering employment opportunities to more than 50 individuals.
At the opening ceremony, a magic performance was staged under the slogan "Seize Tomorrow for My Dream" to support the hope of people with disabilities for economic independence through employment and participation as members of the local community.
Sign language interpreters and volunteers were stationed at the venue to assist with makeup, interview photo shoots, and the preparation of resumes and self-introduction letters. In addition, there were side events such as experience booths and the provision of employment-related information.
Jang Hojong, Deputy Mayor for Economic and Science Affairs of Daejeon City, said, "I hope this fair will provide an opportunity for people with disabilities who wish to find jobs or start businesses to participate in society and stand shoulder to shoulder as members of the local community."
