‘Leading Zero Waste’... Dongmyung University Department of Entrepreneurship Freshman Hong Seokhee Selected for Green Store Project
Hong Seok-hee (41), a first-year student in the Department of Entrepreneurship at Dongmyung University and CEO of the corporation “Dungeun Nemo,” was selected on the 17th for the 2024 Green Store and Green Specialized Store project aimed at reducing packaging waste and spreading zero waste.

View original imageDungeun Nemo is participating in the “Social Connect Market” pop-up store held from October 21 to 31 on the 3rd floor of Connect Hyundai in Beomil-dong, conducting sales events.
This project, implemented by the Busan Economic Promotion Agency and Connect Hyundai, supports the activation of specialized green stores by minimizing packaging waste generation, promoting bulk and packaging-free sales at distribution stores, and encouraging the use of reusable packaging. Selected participants receive benefits such as funding, sales space, and promotional expenses.
Dungeun Nemo is an eco-friendly company established to spread a zero waste consumption culture through producing products that minimize waste output by selling eco-friendly scrubbers and offering packaging-free sales. It aims to promote a culture of reuse and practice sustainable consumption, contributing to the spread of zero waste consumption culture through its main products.
Student Hong Seok-hee said, “I am glad to further spread the value of zero waste and take the lead in environmental protection. Dungeun Nemo will support zero waste practices through eco-friendly products and lead the expansion of a sustainable consumption culture.”
Professor No Seong-yeo, head of the department, said, “This activity is a good example demonstrating the achievements of university entrepreneurship education. The Department of Entrepreneurship will actively support students’ startup activities to help create social value and discover innovative business models.”
