Dong-Eui University Honors School Prestige with '2024 Bitnaen Hyomin Award' Ceremony
3 Recipients Selected, Scholarship Fund of 2.4 Million KRW Awarded

Dong-Eui University (President Han Suhwan) selected students who have enhanced the university's reputation through various competitions, academic activities, and good deeds both internally and externally, and awarded the '2024 Hyomin Award' along with scholarships on the 21st at the reception room on the 2nd floor of the main building.

View original imageThis year's recipients include Go Minsu (4th year, Department of Social Welfare), who participated in over 450 hours of volunteer work; Ahn Hyerim (4th year, Department of Applied Chemistry), who won the Excellence Award in the Science category at the 19th Busan Future Scientist Awards 2024 and the Excellent Poster Award at the 2023 Korean Society for Life Science International Conference; and Lee Yujun (3rd year, Department of Applied Chemistry), who received the Grand Prize at the 2024 Korean Institute of Electrical and Electronic Materials Undergraduate Competition. They were awarded scholarships totaling 2.4 million KRW.
Since 2010, Dong-Eui University has established the Hyomin Award to express gratitude to students who have enhanced the university's honor both internally and externally, encouraging them to grow into outstanding talents. The awards are presented in line with the university's anniversary, and the scholarships are funded by the Faculty and Staff Scholarship Association, which is supported by monthly contributions from professors and staff.

'Hyomin (曉民)' means a person who diligently works from dawn and a place where the first light of dawn lingers. It has been used as another symbol of Dong-Eui University since its founding.
