Hwaseong City Independence Movement Memorial Hall Operates Weekend Family Experience Program
Held Every Saturday Until the End of Next Month
The Independence Movement Memorial Hall in Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do, will operate the weekend family experience program 'Time Slip 1919' every Saturday from the 2nd to the 30th of next month.
This program is an immersive game where participants become independence activists and experience the 1919 Hwaseong March 1st Movement. Participants complete missions by moving between the permanent exhibition hall and the outdoor historical cultural park through a mobile game. Applications for participation are accepted on-site at the information desk on the day of the event, and special rewards are given upon mission completion.
The program was created using digital technology and augmented reality (AR) based on the mission game platform 'RealWorld.' The memorial hall explained that it was designed so that especially the post-memory generation can naturally learn the meaning and importance of Hwaseong's independence movement by directly experiencing historical events through the game.
