Hyundai Group Introduces In-House Meditation Program
Hyundai Group recently announced on the 24th that it has launched an in-house meditation program open to employees.
From the 24th of last month to the 14th of this month, the program was held in a total of four sessions, with 25 Hyundai Group employees participating in each session. They gathered in the main auditorium at the Yeonji-dong headquarters in Seoul and meditated together for 90 minutes. Kim Byung-jeon, CEO of the mobile meditation platform ‘Haru Meditation,’ served as the instructor.

The company explained that the in-house meditation program focused on enhancing employees' fatigue recovery and preventing burnout. Many participants voluntarily joined after a preliminary survey revealed widespread complaints of fatigue. This aligns with the emotional management approach frequently emphasized by Hyundai Group Chairwoman Hyun Jeong-eun.

The company also takes care of employees' mental health through various means such as jazz concerts, health food gifts, and art exhibition visits. The company stated, "We plan to closely monitor employee satisfaction and effectiveness going forward and expand the program into customized meditation sessions."
