Drunken Attempted Murder Suspect Fleeing After Eating Gukbap... Caught Within 3 Hours of Crime
A man in his 30s who attempted to murder a karaoke business owner but failed and fled the scene has been arrested. The man was apprehended by police using location tracking while he was intoxicated and eating gukbap at a nearby restaurant.
The Gyeonggi Ilsan Dongbu Police Station announced on the 23rd that they have urgently arrested and are investigating a man in his 30s, Mr. A, on charges including attempted murder. Mr. A is accused of entering a karaoke room in Ilsan Dong-gu, Goyang City, around 3 a.m. that day and assaulting a female business owner in her 70s, Ms. B, causing head injuries and loss of consciousness.
Police who responded to the report conducted a search and, about three hours after the incident, at around 7:30 a.m., urgently arrested Mr. A, who was intoxicated and eating sundae gukbap at a nearby restaurant. It is known that immediately after the crime, he changed clothes at his lodging in a gosiwon and washed the clothes he wore during the crime. Later, he came to the restaurant with an acquaintance, had a meal, and drank alcohol before being caught by the police.
