View original imageSeodaemun-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Seongheon) will hold a lecture on the 4th of next month from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the 6th floor auditorium of the district office. The lecture will feature Professor Ha Ji-hong, former professor at Kyungpook National University and founder of the Korean Sapsalgae Foundation, who donated therapy dogs "Seodani" and "Daeho" to the Seodaemun Naepumae (愛) Center.
On this day, Professor Ha will introduce the process of restoring the endangered Sapsalgae dog after nearly 20 years of research under the theme "The Origin of Korean Native Dogs and the Restoration of Sapsalgae." He will also reexamine Korean native dogs through various old dog paintings from the Joseon Dynasty, explaining their historical value and ecological importance.
After the lecture, a Q&A session will be held to address attendees' questions. Any residents interested in pet culture are welcome to attend, and those who wish to participate can apply by referring to the announcements on the Seodaemun-gu Office website.
