Taean-eup Women's Association in Taean County Practices Sharing Love with Kimchi
The Dongmun 4-ri Women's Association in Taean-eup, Taean County, Chungnam, donated 70 packs of kimchi to the Taean-eup Administrative Welfare Center, marking their ninth donation this year.
In particular, following a similar effort in June, they collected and sold empty bottles discarded in the village and on beaches within Taean County to raise funds for purchasing ingredients, making this donation even more meaningful.
Jang Sungja, president of the Women's Association, said, "Although it is a small gesture, we made these side dishes hoping to help many people," and added, "We will continue our sharing activities in the future."
Cho Sangho, head of Taean-eup, expressed his gratitude by saying, "I deeply appreciate the consistent donations from the Dongmun 4-ri Women's Association. Such acts of sharing strengthen the solidarity of our community and provide great support to our neighbors in need."
Taean-eup plans to deliver the donated kimchi to vulnerable groups in the area, such as basic livelihood recipients, the near-poor, and elderly people living alone, through the 'Good Refrigerator' project.
