People Power Party Daejeon City Chapter Expels Yang Youngja, Daedeok District Council Member, Over Council Disruption
Ethics Committee: "Damaged Party's Reputation by Defying Party Name Without Just Cause"
The Daejeon City branch of the People Power Party announced on the 21st that it held an ethics committee meeting and decided to expel council member Yang Youngja in connection with the disruption during the selection process for the Daedeok District Council leadership.
The ethics committee made this decision unanimously after hearing the opinions of party-affiliated district council members and the explanations of those involved.
The ethics committee stated, "By violating the party constitution and regulations, causing obstacles to the party's development, and damaging the party's reputation by refusing to comply with the party's instructions without justifiable reason, disciplinary action was necessary."
