Intellian Technologies Supplies Ground Station Antennas for Canadian Telesat's LEO Satellite Communications... "Leaping to Global Leadership"
Intellian Technologies, a company specializing in satellite communication antennas and solutions, announced on the 21st that it has signed a large-scale contract worth 30 billion KRW with Canadian satellite communication operator Telesat for the development and initial supply of Ground Gateway Antennas.
This contract is part of Telesat's low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite project, 'Telesat Lightspeed.' The project aims to launch 298 advanced satellites by 2026 to provide next-generation satellite communication services to global enterprises, telecom operators, government, and military facility customers.
Intellian Technologies signed a User Terminal development contract with Telesat in 2022 and is currently progressing with development. Through this contract, the company will also be responsible for the development and supply of Ground Gateway Antennas. Ground Gateway Antennas are essential infrastructure in low Earth orbit satellite communication systems, connecting satellites and ground networks. They require high performance and advanced technology to continuously track moving satellites and maintain signal integrity.
With this order, Intellian Technologies has solidified its leading position in the base station antenna system sector for low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite services. Additionally, major operators related to low Earth orbit (LEO) and medium Earth orbit (MEO) are now using Intellian Technologies' base station systems. The company is set to become a key supplier, installer, and maintainer of core satellite service base station systems worldwide. Furthermore, leveraging its military base station product lineup, Intellian plans to enter the military and defense markets.
