View original imageGyeonggi Province will complete the appraisal of land and properties included in the road construction project area connecting Toechon-myeon in Gwangju City and Gangha-myeon in Yangpyeong County by the end of this year, and will begin compensation negotiations with landowners starting January next year.
The Gyeonggi Provincial Construction Headquarters announced on the 21st that on the 15th, it held the "Gyeonggi Gwangju-Yangpyeong Road Construction Project Compensation Council" for National and Local Road No. 88 at the Gwangju City Business Strategy Headquarters.
The National and Local Road No. 88 "Gyeonggi Gwangju-Yangpyeong Road Construction Project" is a project to improve the existing road connecting Gwangdong-ri, Toechon-myeon, Gwangju City to Unsim-ri, Gangha-myeon, Yangpyeong County. It involves installing a tunnel (480m) and four bridges (305m) over a total length of 10.4 km, and straightening curved sections. Tunnel construction will begin in March next year, with completion targeted for 2029.
The Compensation Council, chaired by the head of the Gwangju City Business Strategy Headquarters, approved the operating regulations of the council. They also discussed the upcoming construction and compensation plans, as well as the basic direction for loss compensation for land and properties.
Following this, landowners listened to explanations about the project and compensation plans, raised questions or opinions regarding the road construction, and had a discussion session with the attending members.
