Ulsan City and Ulsan Technopark announced on the 20th that they will actively promote the ‘2024 Ulsan Disaster Safety Industry Development Support Project R&D Planning Support Project’ to strengthen the R&D planning competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Ulsan region.
This project targets SMEs that fall under the special classification of the disaster safety industry in the Ulsan region or those wishing to enter the disaster safety industry.
The project will be conducted over four months from this month until January next year, providing support funds of 4 million KRW per company.
To enhance the companies’ research and development capabilities, costs necessary for the planning stage such as external expert consultation fees, manuscript fees, technology information collection expenses, and academic journal subscription fees will be supported.
Through this support, Ulsan City expects local SMEs to systematically prepare R&D projects, leading to outcomes such as new patent applications, activation of research projects, and increased sales.
