Mokpo Public Library Wins 'Prime Minister's Award' at 2024 National Competition
Recognition for Efforts in Building Collaborative Networks and Enhancing Stakeholder Expertise
Mokpo Public Library announced on the 17th that it was selected as an excellent library this year and received the Prime Minister's Award at the opening ceremony of the 61st National Library Conference.
This Prime Minister's Award is given to outstanding libraries that have contributed to the development of library operations and services in the nationwide library operation evaluation hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism this year.

View original imageA total of 1,236 institutions nationwide participated in the public library sector for the '2024 Library Operation Evaluation.' Mokpo Public Library, as the Western Jeonnam Regional School Library Support Center, focuses on spreading reading and humanities education using school libraries to students in the library area.
It received high praise for steadily building a cooperative network centered on 22 libraries under the Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education and continuously striving to strengthen the expertise of related personnel.
