The Busan mixed team advanced to the quarterfinals by defeating strong opponents Ulsan in the round of 16 and Jeju, the Korean Business Archery Federation President's Cup champions, in the round of 8. They reached the semifinals after a shoot-off against Incheon and went on to win the championship by defeating Seoul in the final.
Park Se-eun, who was recruited from Dongseo University to Busan Metropolitan Corporation in 2024, overcame acute indigestion the day before the competition. Thanks to consistent and repetitive training in various environments, she experienced the joy of winning her first medal of the year?a gold medal at the National Sports Festival.
Park Se-eun said, “I was worried as this is my first year on the team, but I am happy to achieve such a good result at a major competition. During the semifinals, when we were trailing 4:0, my teammate Kim Ha-jun helped ease my tension and led well from the front, allowing us to finish strongly with great chemistry. I will continue this momentum and work hard in the remaining national team second selection trials.”
