Suspicion of Position Trading Involving Chairman and Others
The police have launched a forced investigation into the Seoul Private Taxi Association, which is suspected of engaging in money transactions in exchange for positions such as directors within the association.
On the 16th, the Criminal Mobile Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced that they have been conducting a search and seizure at the headquarters of the Seoul Private Taxi Association located in Sincheon-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul, since 9 a.m. that day.
Chairman Cha Mo and others of the Seoul Private Taxi Association are suspected of receiving hundreds of thousands to millions of won from members in exchange for positions such as chairman and director positions within the welfare corporation under the association.

A police official stated, "The scope of the search and seizure is part of an ongoing investigation, so we cannot disclose specific details," and added, "We will continue the investigation based on the seized items obtained from the search and seizure."
