'2024 Taebaek City Companion Animal Culture Event' to be Held on the 19th
At Taebaek City Pet Playground... Flea Market and More Held
Taebaek City, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province (Mayor Lee Sang-ho) announced on the 16th that it will hold the ‘2024 Taebaek City Companion Animal Culture Event’ on the 19th at the Taebaek City Companion Animal Playground to raise citizens' interest in companion animals and promote mutual understanding between pet owners and non-pet owners. This event was originally scheduled for September 21 but was canceled due to rain.
This event is organized by Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province and Taebaek City, aiming to prevent the occurrence of lost and abandoned animals in an era with 15 million pet owners, promote pet etiquette that both pet owners and non-pet owners must observe, and foster a culture where people, companion animals, and non-pet owners coexist harmoniously.
The main events include companion animal policy promotion, frisbee freestyle show, companion animal health check, companion animal caricatures, Dangdang-i flea market, pet food cooking class, Dangdang-i dice game, and a “Meongttaeri” event, all designed to be enjoyed together with companion animals.
