GMB Korea is a foreign-invested company producing precision automotive parts and eco-friendly vehicle (electric and hydrogen) components. Headquartered in Japan, it established 'Korea GMB Industry' in 1979 within the Changwon National Industrial Complex and has been operating there since.
In 2021, the company signed an investment agreement with Changwon City and is carrying out an investment project involving approximately 60.8 billion KRW over five years until 2025. This includes establishing the technology research institute, expanding the electrification product production line, and directly employing 57 people.
The technology research institute was established to undertake new business in the electric and hydrogen vehicle parts sector in response to the expanding eco-friendly automotive market. Based on the newly established production line, the share of electric and hydrogen vehicle parts is expected to increase to more than 50% of total production in the future.
