If Your Crops Look Strange, Take a Photo... Ulsan Agricultural Technology Center Offers 'Diagnosis Service' App Training
"AI-Based Crop Disease and Pest Diagnosis and Information Service"
A system that diagnoses and prescribes treatments for crop diseases and pests with a single smartphone photo is being implemented in Ulsan.
The Ulsan Agricultural Technology Center has decided to include training on the use of the 'Smart Disease and Pest Diagnosis Service' app during farmer education and public consultations.
The Smart Disease and Pest Diagnosis Service app allows agricultural workers to take pictures of crops with their smartphone cameras, and artificial intelligence instantly diagnoses diseases and pests and provides relevant information.
Developed independently by the Rural Development Administration, the service was launched to the public last September. Based on the diagnosis results, users can also receive expert consultations and the latest control information from the National Crop Pest Management System (NCPMS).
The app can be downloaded and installed for free from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
