Korean Pediatric Hospital Association Changes Name to 'Korean Association of Pediatric and Adolescent Hospitals'

The Korea Association of Child Hospitals will change its name to the Korea Association of Pediatric and Adolescent Hospitals.

View original imageOn the 14th, the Korea Association of Child Hospitals stated in a press release, "Since the association's founding in April 2017, we have set agendas related to health and medical policies for the promotion of health among children and adolescents, and have worked together with the government, the public, patients, and their guardians to drive the development and growth of children and adolescents." They added, "The name change reflects our determination and commitment to solidify our identity as a specialized organization and to further dedicate ourselves to improving the health of children and adolescents."
President Choi Yong-jae (Director of Uijeongbu Ttunteun Children's Hospital) said, "The association's 120 member hospitals have actively participated in overcoming the COVID-19 national disaster, working tirelessly in all areas to promote the health of children and adolescents." He continued, "The role of pediatric and adolescent hospitals will continue to evolve and develop without change," and added, "We earnestly hope that the National Assembly, government, and the public will join the Korea Association of Pediatric and Adolescent Hospitals in restoring the collapsed pediatric medical system."
He also emphasized, "Taking this opportunity of the name change to the Pediatric and Adolescent Hospitals Association, we will do our best to establish a more scientific and systematic pediatric and adolescent care system so that member hospitals can devote themselves more to pediatric and adolescent care," and stated, "We will lead efforts to revive the pediatric medical system through the preparation of health policies for children and adolescents and improvements in related systems."
