Osan Soriul Library Operates 'Our Neighborhood National Theater'
Every Third Wednesday of the Month... Screening of Outstanding Performances at the National Theater
Soriul Library in Osan-si, Gyeonggi-do, will operate the 'Our Neighborhood National Theater' program on the third Wednesday of every month from this month until December.
This program was selected through the '2024 Our Neighborhood National Theater' public contest organized by the National Theater. It is a performance video project designed to provide everyone with easy access to excellent performance content from the National Theater.
On the 16th, the first screening will be "Entongi's Dongyo Country 2." It is a story about a child who is clumsy at expressing emotions traveling through the land of instruments with instrument friends to find the way of emotional expression that suits them.
In November, a video of Korean traditional orchestra titled "Vivid: The Saturation of Music" will be screened. The performance expresses dreams, the mysteries of nature, and imagination through music. In December, the Korean traditional orchestral piece "Tam (耽) and Tam (探)," which has been recognized for both popularity and artistry through challenging new work development and consistent revivals, will be presented.
Han Hyun, director of Soriul Library, expressed expectations that "this program will be a time to comfortably enjoy the excellent repertoire content of the National Theater up close and experience the emotion of our traditional cultural arts."
