Uijeongbu City Supports Rabies Vaccination for Dogs from 11th to 26th
Uijeongbu City will conduct the "2024 Second Half Rabies Vaccination Support Project" for registered companion dogs in the city from the 11th to the 26th.
Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) will conduct the "2024 Second Half Rabies Vaccination Support Project" for registered companion dogs in the city from the 11th to the 26th.
The vaccination targets are companion dogs aged 3 months or older that are registered within the city, and cats can be vaccinated only upon request.
The vaccination fee is around 30,000 KRW in the market, but during this vaccination period, it can be done at animal hospitals located in Uijeongbu for 10,000 KRW.
Pet owners who wish to vaccinate should visit a nearby animal hospital within the period, confirm whether their pet is registered, and then get the vaccination. If the pet is not registered, registration can be done at the animal hospital that performs animal registration before vaccination.
However, since the vaccines supported by the city are limited, the project may end early.
Choi Hyun-mi, Director of the Urban Agriculture Division, said, "Rabies is a zoonotic disease with a very high fatality rate, so we recommend regular vaccinations for companion animals."
