Opening of Daejeon Small Business Innovation Startup Space 'Daejeon Raikon Town'

On the 10th, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced that it held an opening ceremony for the 'Daejeon LICORN Town,' which supports the successful startups and innovation of small business owners in the Daejeon area.
LICORN Town is a space created to promote the prepared startups and growth of creative small business owners, and further regional innovation. In particular, the newly opened Daejeon LICORN Town was established in collaboration with Daejeon City to revitalize local idle spaces from the perspective of urban regeneration. Through cooperation between the central government and local governments, it is expected to attract local youth and innovative small business owners, bringing new vitality to the surrounding area.
Daejeon LICORN Town consists of two floors. It includes an education center where management training necessary for startups can be received, meeting rooms, a studio for live commerce, workspaces and office spaces for commercializing creative ideas, coworking spaces and communication areas where business expansion through collaboration can be discussed. Any small business owner in the Daejeon area can use these facilities.

Kim Seong-seop, Vice Minister of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, said, “LICORN Town is a space where local small business owners can experiment with their ideas, communicate with each other, and innovate on their own,” adding, “Going forward, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups will continue to support local small business owners so that they can start businesses, innovate independently, grow, and develop into enterprises.”
