Han Dong-hoon, the leader of the People Power Party, said regarding the by-election for the mayor of Geumjeong District in Busan, "Give us the opportunity to work and take action for Geumjeong."

On the 9th, Leader Han visited Busan a week before the October 16th re- and by-elections and held an on-site Supreme Council meeting at the election office of Yoon Il-hyun, the candidate for Geumjeong District mayor, where he made these remarks.

Leader Han said, "Local elections are directly connected to the lives of residents and are truly elections that must be voted in. I ask many people to come out and vote," urging support for candidate Yoon. He continued, "This election is simply about deciding who can work for Geumjeong," emphasizing, "It is not an election where central political strife or political fights have room to intervene."

Leader Han stated, "The Democratic Party is even polluting the Geumjeong election with political fights, strife, and agitation, but we will not do that," adding, "We will only talk about who is the better servant and worker for Geumjeong. The answer is obviously us."

Regarding local issues, Leader Han said, "We will definitely normalize Chimrye Hospital," and appealed, "There are many good students in Geumjeong, where Pusan National University is located, but due to a lack of jobs, they leave for other regions. We will create jobs in Busan. Please give us the opportunity to sincerely work for Busan."
