Yangju Urban Corporation signed a business agreement on the 8th with Uijeongbu Urban Corporation, Pocheon Urban Corporation, and Yeoncheon County Facilities Management Corporation to promote balanced development in the northern Gyeonggi region and respond to population decline and the risk of local extinction.
Gyeonggi Yangju Urban Corporation (President Lee Heung-gyu) announced on the 8th that it has signed a business agreement with Uijeongbu Urban Corporation, Pocheon Urban Corporation, and Yeoncheon County Facilities Management Corporation to promote balanced development in the northern Gyeonggi region and respond to population decline and the risk of local extinction.
The signing ceremony was held with the attendance of Lee Heung-gyu, President of Yangju Urban Corporation; Kim Yong-seok, President of Uijeongbu Urban Corporation; Lee Sang-rok, President of Pocheon Urban Corporation; and Song Seung-won, Director of Yeoncheon County Facilities Management Corporation. Each organization pledged to establish a close cooperative system for the sustainable development of the northern Gyeonggi region.
The main contents of the agreement include ▲ collaborative activities and consultation to revitalize the northern Gyeonggi regional economy ▲ expansion of urban-rural exchanges and exploration of corporate investment and support measures ▲ discovery and promotion of joint projects for regional coexistence and development ▲ preparation of measures to attract and settle population to respond to population decline and the risk of local extinction.
According to the agreement, each corporation and management corporation will form a working-level council to discuss specific implementation plans for social contribution activities and will cooperate to efficiently promote activities that contribute to regional economic revitalization and respond to the risk of local extinction.
