Park Seo-jun Confesses to Being Bullied in Elementary School, Sung Si-kyung's Reaction Is...
Confession on a YouTube Channel Appearance
Singer Sung Si-kyung and actor Park Seo-joon confessed that they were victims of group bullying during their school days.
On the 7th, a video titled "I Fell for Seo-joon When We First Met" was uploaded on the YouTube channel ‘Sung Si-kyung’. In the video, Park Seo-joon said, “When I was young, I was really shy and had severe stranger anxiety. I was so shy that I couldn’t even order food at a restaurant,” and added, “I hated that personality of mine so much when I was in the third year of middle school. I couldn’t speak anywhere, and I felt like such a fool.”
He continued, “There wasn’t really any occasion to express emotions normally,” and said, “By chance, I started attending an acting academy, and expressing my emotions in a small space gave me a strange sense of liberation. I think that’s why I started.”
In response, Sung Si-kyung asked, “You must have had a decent appearance and height, so you weren’t bullied among friends, right?” Park Seo-joon replied, “I was somewhat bullied in elementary school. In middle school, I was naturally one of the quiet types.”
When Sung Si-kyung asked Park Seo-joon, “What made you decide to try acting?” Park Seo-joon answered, “I hated my personality so much in the third year of middle school because I couldn’t speak anywhere.”
Sung Si-kyung began, “There are a lot of bullying controversies these days, but I think I’m the first to talk about it,” and said, “From first grade to fourth grade in elementary school, it was really hell. (The friends) would say, ‘Stay after class.’” He added, “I’m not the type to hit anyone, and I hate fighting, but looking back, I’m glad about that rather than having hit someone,” and said, “I remember exactly how hellish it was.” He also added, “Kids are really pure, but because they are pure, their meanness is also purely mean.”

Meanwhile, the bullying controversy surrounding the girl group NewJeans, who recently had conflicts with HYBE, is escalating into a battle over the truth. NewJeans members and their mothers claimed that a manager of another HYBE girl group, ILY:1, told Hanni to “ignore her,” and that the related CCTV footage was deleted. On the other hand, Belift Lab, the agency of ILY:1, strongly denied these claims.
