On the 7th, Hong Kong's South China Morning Post (SCMP) reported, "A woman named Kanae Hirayama won 500 prize draws in one year, receiving a total prize money of about $70,000 (93 million won), earning her the nickname 'Queen of Luck'." According to the report, Kanae recently appeared on the TV program 'I Will Make You Happy: The Queen Teaches You Winning Techniques' and revealed, "More than half of the household items at home are products won through lotteries or prize draws."
In fact, Japanese companies are known to frequently use prize draws as a marketing tool to attract customers. She explained, "Prizes included an oven worth 70,000 yen (630,000 won), a water purifier worth 100,000 yen (900,000 won), as well as pots, mugs, lunch boxes, snacks, yoga balls, toys, and more."
