Family-friendly events and celebratory performances to be held
Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam announced on the 6th that the 18th Naeseo Gwangryeo Cultural Festival was successfully held at Samgye Neighborhood Park, with more than 1,000 residents of Naeseo-eup in attendance.

View original imageThe event, organized by the Naeseo Cultural Festival Committee on the 5th, was attended by many distinguished guests, including Hong Nam-pyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, Yoon Han-hong, National Assembly member, and Son Tae-hwa, Chairman of the Changwon Special City Council. The festival was further enlivened by popular singers such as Noh Ji-hoon, Yeon Ye-jin, and Kim Yu-seon, along with performances by local residents including gogo janggu, saxophone performances, and jam dance.
Additionally, a variety of family-friendly activities were offered, such as making keyrings from recycled plastic, creating plaster air fresheners and bracelets using sea glass collected from marine debris, and making eco-friendly soap without chemical ingredients, all of which received enthusiastic responses from the residents.
Yang Gwang-un, Chairman of the Festival Committee, said, "Now in its 18th year, the Naeseo Gwangryeo Cultural Festival has become one of the largest events in Naeseo-eup, serving as a venue for communication and unity among residents. This year, we strived to create a festival that everyone, regardless of age or gender, could enjoy, with even higher quality performances. Seeing so many people come to the event, laughing and having fun, brings me great satisfaction."
Hong Nam-pyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, stated, "We will spare no effort in supporting cultural events that reflect the unique characteristics of our region to improve the quality of life for residents. We will also promote practical, citizen-centered projects to further enhance the lives of our citizens and the dignity of our city."
