The Disability Awareness Improvement Supporters at Duksung Women's University were established in 2016 with the purpose of supporting students with disabilities to actively exercise their rights and have a smooth school life. They play a role in developing activities that eliminate prejudice against people with disabilities and promote equal awareness.
At the inauguration ceremony held on the 27th of last month, opportunities were provided for students with and without disabilities to interact in order to dispel misunderstandings and prejudices about disabilities. Additionally, through disability awareness education, discussions were held to cultivate empathy towards people with disabilities and to build an environment where students with disabilities can use the campus without inconvenience.
Duksung Women's University plans to conduct disability awareness improvement events aimed at fostering respect for the rights and dignity of people with disabilities and forming close bonds between students with and without disabilities.
The Disability Awareness Improvement Supporters will support students with disabilities to have an equal school life, produce content for disability awareness improvement, and engage in promotional activities such as disability awareness improvement campaigns.
