'2024 Goyang Drone and Urban Air Mobility Expo' Presents New Directions for Drones and UAM
Goyang Special City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced on the 2nd that a conference on drone logistics and delivery, testing and certification, defense and military applications will be held under the supervision of specialized organizations at the ‘2024 Goyang Drone & Urban Air Mobility Expo,’ which will take place from the 23rd to the 25th at KINTEX Exhibition Hall 2.
This conference is organized by △Korea Testing Laboratory △Army Education Command △Aviation Safety Technology Institute △Korea Drone Innovation Association △Korea Drone Delivery Association, and will serve as a platform to introduce and share government drone policies and the drone utilization missions of each institution. It aims to provide an in-depth discussion on the current status and future of drone technology and urban air mobility (UAM) for a diverse audience including company representatives, local governments, and students.
Not only visitors to the ‘2024 Goyang Drone & Urban Air Mobility Expo’ but also all attendees of ‘RAD KOREA WEEK’ can participate. Detailed schedules can be found on the expo’s official website.
According to a city official, “This conference, led by specialized organizations, will cover a variety of detailed topics tailored to the characteristics of each institution, making it an important opportunity for collaboration with company representatives and local governments.” The official added, “We will strive to create an even richer conference next year through continuous cooperation with related organizations,” and encouraged active participation from company representatives, university students, and citizens.
