Gyeonggawon Selects 10 Promising Startups in Startup Contest... Up to 30 Million Won Prize
Ten teams awarded in the '2024 Gyeonggi Startup Contest of Change and Opportunity' hosted by the Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency are taking a commemorative photo after the award ceremony.

This contest was held over approximately eight months starting from February and targeted technology and knowledge industry commercialization items. Notably, innovative ideas fused with future new industry trends such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data, robotics, bio, and eco-friendly technologies attracted attention.
As a result of the competition, Airbility Co., Ltd., which proposed a vertical takeoff and landing electric aircraft solution for future air mobility, won the grand prize.
Airbility received high praise for its innovative tilt-distributed electric propulsion technology capable of vertical takeoff and landing without a runway and for its ability to cruise at speeds four times faster than existing drones.
The two companies awarded the excellence prize were VemmX, an AI-based automatic music mastering website, and Voice Match, which developed music mixing and mastering services. Bigbird Co., Ltd., which presented 3D data generation software based on traffic control CCTV, also received an award.
The 10 selected startups will receive prize money and gain additional points when applying for startup support projects and facilities promoted by the Economic Science Promotion Agency. They will also have promotional opportunities through the provincial reporters group and social networking services (SNS).

Kang Seong-cheon, head of the Economic Science Promotion Agency, stated, "This competition was an important opportunity to discover technologies and services that entrepreneurs can actually compete with in the market," adding, "We will continue to expand various innovative programs and support policies to create a Gyeonggi-do where startups can freely pursue their dreams."
