On that day, a group of about 50 volunteers, including branch managers from the western Busan and Gyeongnam regions and staff from headquarters departments, supported the affected farms struggling with a shortage of manpower by carrying out recovery work such as shaking soil from seedling trays, leveling the floors of vinyl greenhouses, and installing supports for seedling trays.
They also worked hard to help restore the living environment, including organizing household items for the farms.
The ability to quickly dispatch the emergency disaster relief volunteer team to the affected area was made possible by BNK Financial Group's preemptive establishment of a constant regional disaster support response system on the 20th.
The main points of BNK Financial Group's constant regional disaster support response system include the organization and dispatch of emergency disaster relief volunteer teams, financial support for disaster recovery, and the maintenance of manuals to prepare for emergencies. Based on these plans, each subsidiary, including Busan Bank, prepared its own response system.
Lee Sangryong, Head of the Western Busan and Gyeongnam Business Division of BNK Busan Bank, who participated in the relief activities, said, "I hope today's relief efforts will provide at least some support to the farms going through difficult times due to the flood damage," and added, "The emergency disaster relief volunteer team was established for the first time by a Busan company to help local residents in urgent need of support due to disaster damage, and we will continue to provide practical assistance through swift relief activities."
