A Robot That Picks from Tens of Thousands of Products Is Coming... CJ Daehan Tongun Partners with Robot Company
CJ Logistics announced on the 26th that it has signed a business agreement with robot solution company AIDIN Robotics to develop logistics robots.
Through this agreement, the two companies have agreed to collaborate on developing robots tailored to the characteristics of the logistics industry. CJ Logistics will provide data on the physical properties and volume of goods handled at logistics centers and will commercialize the robots to be organically applied throughout the logistics processing stages. AIDIN Robotics will develop product handling robot solutions suited to these characteristics based on the information received.

The first technology to be developed is a piece-picking robot that picks up and moves individual products. The logistics industry handles tens of thousands of different types of products, each varying in weight, volume, and strength. Unlike manufacturing industries that mass-produce specific products repeatedly, it has been difficult to widely apply robots. Considering these characteristics, the two companies plan to jointly develop a multi-product random piece-picking robot.
