Yangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) announced on the 24th that it successfully completed the ‘Future University Campus Tour’ program held at Korea University Seoul Campus.
The ‘Future University Campus Tour’ is a program under the ‘JUMP-UP Yangju I Project’ of the ‘Yangju Career and Academic Support Center,’ where students visit universities and tour the campus with university student mentors, learning about the history of the school and receiving mentoring on career paths and academic departments.
About 80 students currently attending elementary and middle schools in the area participated in this program. Student mentors from various departments at Korea University, including the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Economics, Education, Psychology, and Architecture, provided participants with valuable time to inspire new dreams.
A student participant, Student A, said, “I liked it because I was able to learn many new things,” and a parent, Mr. A, expressed, “I was impressed by the excellent program planning and meticulous operation of the Yangju Career and Academic Support Center,” adding, “I hope many diverse programs that can help our children’s career paths and academic advancement will be developed.”
An official from the city stated, “Yangju City plans to continue laying the foundation for children to grow into creative talents in future society through various career and academic education programs,” and added, “We will do our best to establish an education city leading the future.”

In October and November, a survey targeting students and parents will be conducted, and based on the results, an additional tour of Seoul National University is planned.
