LPG Vehicle 'Pung' During Maintenance... One Employee Burned at Dobong-gu Repair Shop in Seoul
At around 4:57 PM on the 24th, a fire broke out in a Grandeur liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) vehicle undergoing maintenance at an auto repair shop in Chang-dong, Dobong-gu, Seoul.
One repair shop employee sustained burns from the incident and was transported to a hospital. It is reported that their life is not in danger.
The fire department responded to a report stating "there was a popping sound from the gas vehicle" and arrived at the scene. It was reported that the repair shop staff extinguished the fire with a fire extinguisher before the fire truck arrived.
The fire department deployed 16 vehicles and 56 personnel to take safety measures such as ventilating the smoke in preparation for the possibility of additional accidents, and is investigating the specific cause of the incident.
