Fire on Bus Traveling on Gyeongbu Expressway... 15 Evacuated, No Casualties
At around 5:30 PM on the 24th, a fire broke out on a bus traveling on the Seoul-bound road near the Seocho Interchange on the Gyeongbu Expressway in Seocho-gu, Seoul.
The bus was carrying the driver and 15 passengers, but all evacuated quickly, resulting in no casualties.
The fire department deployed 92 personnel and 27 pieces of equipment and completely extinguished the fire by around 5:48 PM, about 20 minutes later.
However, traffic congestion continues near the accident site due to the aftermath of the fire.
The fire department believes the fire started in the engine and is investigating the exact cause of the fire.
