Earn Points to Watch Deepfakes... Porn Viewers Reduced to Uploaders
Nearly 60,000 Daily Visitors
Operating a Tiered Deepfake Bulletin Board
Uploading Pornographic Content to Raise Tiers
It has been confirmed that a pornographic website, which recently approaches 60,000 daily visitors, has opened a deepfake-exclusive board for higher-tier members. Members are voluntarily posting pornographic content in order to raise their rank and gain access to the board.
According to Asia Economy's coverage on the 25th, about 500 pornographic materials were uploaded over two days on a pornographic site that recorded an average of around 2,000 simultaneous users per day. All the pornographic content posted here was uploaded by domestic members, not overseas uploaders.

They even act on behalf of the site operators to directly procure pornographic materials requested by other members. For example, if a member posts a request looking for pornographic photos of a specific model, they upload the requested materials themselves.
The reason general members participate not only in viewing but also in uploading is largely analyzed to be for the purpose of earning points. Currently, the site operates a total of 10 sub-boards. Among them, only higher-tier members can enter the 'Deepfake Pornography Exclusive Board' and the 'Voyeurism-related Pornography Exclusive Board.'
To reach the rank that allows entry to these boards, members must secure points and purchase experience. Pornographic content is one of the means to quickly earn points. When another member pays with paid points to download pornographic content, 30% of the points paid are given to the uploader. In other words, to enter the deepfake board, one must become an uploader themselves.

The site is rapidly expanding by using tiered board access as bait to supply pornographic content. As of the 23rd, the site’s daily visitors were counted at 59,000, and by 9 a.m. the next day, the number of simultaneous users was approaching 2,000 despite the early hour.
Some point out that platforms using sexually exploitative videos as business tools are not being eradicated due to lenient punishments by the judiciary. Kim Hye-jung, director of the Korea Sexual Violence Counseling Center, criticized, "Even when the webhard cartel incident occurred in the past, the webhard operators who served as distribution channels for sexually exploitative materials were not confiscated of their criminal proceeds. There should be awareness that distributing sexually exploitative materials leads to punishment, but instead, a wrong notion that profits can be made has taken root."

There are also calls to consider measures against platform operators who design the distribution structure, not just those who produce and distribute pornographic content. Lee Eun-ui, chief lawyer of Lee Eun-ui Law Office, emphasized, "There are those who do not directly film or distribute pornographic content but design the distribution structure or provide services by exploiting legal blind spots. It is necessary for not only the judiciary but also the executive branch and political circles to study and consider how to deal with service providers who evade legal restrictions."
