Matthias Buse Appointed as New CEO of Porsche Korea
German luxury carmaker Porsche announced on the 20th that it has appointed Matthias Busse, Senior Director of the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles division for the German market, as the new CEO of Porsche Korea. He will begin his term in October.
New CEO Busse is a sales and management expert who has worked at various overseas locations including Porsche Taiwan and Hamburg. Since early 2022, he has served as Senior Director of the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles division in Germany and has now taken charge of the Korean market.
Detlev von Platen, a member of the Porsche Board of Management, said, "Matthias Busse, who combines extensive experience across the automotive industry with a deep understanding of the unique characteristics of the Asian market, will be able to further strengthen the Porsche brand’s position in the Korean market."

Holger Geyermann, the current CEO of Porsche Korea, will move to become the new CEO of Porsche Switzerland AG starting in October. During Geyermann’s tenure, Porsche sales in Korea more than doubled. He previously served as the President of the German Chamber of Commerce in Korea and was also named an Honorary Citizen of Seoul.
