U.S. President Joe Biden on the 15th (local time) ordered all necessary measures to be taken to ensure the safety of former President Donald Trump, who was the target of an assassination attempt.
In a statement that day, President Biden said, "I have directed my team to ensure that the Secret Service (SS) continues to have all the resources, capabilities, and protective measures necessary to guarantee the ongoing safety of the former president."
