Gyeongbuk Office of Education, Kwon Sungyeon Appointed as Deputy Superintendent... Gyeongbuk's First Female Deputy Superintendent
Gyeongbuk Office of Education (Superintendent Lim Jong-sik) announced that Kwon Sungyeon (52), Chairperson of the Teacher Appeals Committee, will be inaugurated as the Deputy Superintendent of Gyeongsangbuk-do as of the 19th, following the personnel appointment by the Ministry of Education.
The new Deputy Superintendent, Kwon Sungyeon, graduated from Seoul Jinseon Girls' High School and the Department of Korean History at Seoul National University, and earned a Ph.D. in Education from Pennsylvania State University in the United States.
After passing the 38th Administrative Examination, Kwon Sungyeon began her public service career in 1995 and has since built a broad range of experience, serving as Director of Lifelong Learning Policy at the Ministry of Education, Director of Planning and Coordination at the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, Secretary-General of Korea National University of Education, and Education Secretary at the Presidential Office.
She is known as an expert in educational administration.
