"Shining 17, we support your future!"
On the occasion of its 17th anniversary last month on the 31st, Air Busan continues its commitment to local community coexistence by donating 10 million KRW to 17-year-old youths under the care of child welfare facilities within the Busan Child Welfare Association.
Air Busan (CEO Doo Sungkuk) delivered the donation of 10 million KRW on the 12th at its headquarters in Gangseo-gu, Busan, with CEO Doo Sungkuk, Park Jeongkyu, President of the Busan Child Welfare Association, and Oh Heungsook, President of the Busan Social Welfare Council, in attendance.
The donated funds will be used to support the educational expenses of 17-year-old children and youths under facility protection, such as tuition and academy fees. It is expected to serve as seed money for future employment and independence.
Since 2012, Air Busan has been donating funds raised through the "Love Coin Collection Campaign" in partnership with the Korean Red Cross to the local community, supporting surgery costs for patients from vulnerable groups and more.
Additionally, the company continues active social contribution activities, including the "Employee Salary Change Collection Campaign" launched in 2013 to help neighbors in need, and regular volunteer work by the cabin crew volunteer club "Blue Angel." Recently, Air Busan purchased exhibition works from the Milal Welfare Foundation's art troupe for people with developmental disabilities and donated 10 million KRW to the foundation.
Doo Sungkuk, CEO of Air Busan, said, "On our 17th anniversary, we decided to carry out this sponsorship to give back the love we have received from the local community and to contribute to society. We will continue to make sincere efforts to address the difficulties faced by the community so that Air Busan's future steps will be even more meaningful and valuable."
