Busan Correctional Institution Council Delivers 3,000 Chuseok Rice Cakes to Comfort Inmates
Busan Prison held a rehabilitation event for inmates in celebration of Chuseok.
This event was organized to comfort inmates who may miss their families during Chuseok, the nation's biggest holiday, and to help them find emotional stability.
On the 12th, the prison received a donation of 3,000 pieces of rice cake from the Busan Prison Correctional Council and distributed them to all inmates.
Chairman Kwak Youngho said, "We decided to provide rice cakes in hopes of easing the loneliness that inmates may feel during the Chuseok holiday."
The Busan Prison Correctional Council not only provides monthly savings support for economically disadvantaged inmates, but also donates rice cakes on holidays and bottled water during the hot season, actively contributing to the rehabilitation and correction of inmates.
