This event was organized with the support of Seocho-gu Office and the Seocho District Council of the Korean Red Cross. Three types of Chuseok foods (fruits, songpyeon, and galbitang) were delivered to 110 Red Cross partnered households and vulnerable families.
Mayor Jeon Seong-su participated as a volunteer in this service activity, carefully packing the Chuseok foods to be delivered to neighbors.
Earlier in April, Mayor Jeon actively supported the formation of Red Cross volunteer groups in neighborhoods within Seocho-gu where such groups had not yet been established. As a result, the number of local volunteer groups increased from 7 to 10 neighborhoods. In recognition of his contributions to enhancing community welfare, he received a commendation from the President of the Korean Red Cross at this Hope Windmill Chuseok Holiday Sharing Event.
The Seocho District Council of the Korean Red Cross conducts various volunteer activities every year, including providing supplies for marginalized groups in the community, bread-sharing events, Lunar New Year sharing, support during Family Month, and kimchi-making campaigns.
