Dankook University Selected in Two Fields for 'Humanities and Social Sciences Research Institute Support Project'
1.56 Billion Support Over 6 Years Until 2030
Dankook University Business Intelligence Research Institute and Mind Health Research Institute have each been selected for the 'Humanities and Social Sciences Research Institute Support Project' organized by the Ministry of Education and the National Research Foundation of Korea.
Following the project selection, Dankook University will receive a total of 1.56 billion KRW each over six years until 2030 to develop industry-friendly talent cultivation policies through industry-academia-research cooperation and to develop a golden time prediction model for youth suicide.
The 'Humanities and Social Sciences Research Institute Support Project' aims to foster research hubs by specializing research institutes in the humanities and social sciences fields and to produce excellent academic research outcomes. It also nurtures research groups and next-generation researchers capable of responding to national and social issues.
The Business Intelligence Research Institute studies "Industry-friendly talent cultivation through industry-academia-research cooperation." The institute is committed to securing technological sovereignty in advanced future industries by fostering talent based on industry-academia-research collaboration and developing sustainable policies. The institute researches ▲ development of innovative industry-academia-research cooperation models and curricula based on data and industrial demand ▲ discovery of customized support strategies for each stage of technology transfer, commercialization, and startup ▲ identification and improvement of university industry-academia cooperation policy agendas.
The Mind Health Research Institute researches "Development of a golden time prediction model for youth suicide and a treatment linkage system using Open AI (artificial intelligence) ChatGPT." The institute aims to reduce suicide rates by utilizing apps or ChatGPT for suicide prevention and linking with experts or treatment institutions, targeting youth familiar with digital devices.
