Busan Regional Tax Office Wakes Up Sleeping Clothes for Sharing Gifts
All Employees Participate in Donating Used Clothes to Goodwill Store
Busan Regional Tax Office (Commissioner Kim Dongil) held a 'Used Clothes Sharing' event on the 11th ahead of the Chuseok holiday, the nation's largest traditional holiday.
This event was organized to actively participate in carbon emission reduction through resource circulation and to reaffirm desirable public service values by spreading a culture of donation through sharing.
All employees of the regional office and 19 local tax offices voluntarily participated, collecting and donating around 2,000 items (60 boxes) of clothing and miscellaneous goods. The donated items were given to 'Goodwill Store,' which supports jobs for people with disabilities by selling donated goods.
Employees who participated in the event said in unison, "We hope that used clothes, which are still wearable but rarely worn, will be put to meaningful use."
