View original imageAccording to the fire authorities, part of the ceiling structure fell at around 10:18 p.m. the previous day in the Surak Soundproof Tunnel on the Dongbu Expressway in Nowon-gu, Seoul.
As a result of the accident, two workers who were performing ceiling demolition work injured their legs and were taken to a nearby hospital; their lives are not in danger.

The fire authorities explained, "It is presumed that the accident occurred as the tunnel's support frame lost balance and toppled," adding, "The exact cause is still under investigation."
