"Satisfying Both Honchujok and Charyejok"... Emart's Convenient Charyesang Event for Chuseok
40 Types of Peacock Ritual Foods Including Songpyeon and Assorted Jeon on Sale
Delicorner Also Offers 'Alchan Assorted Jeon Set'
Emart announced on the 11th that it will hold a convenient Chuseok ancestral rite table event.
Emart is offering a 5,000 won gift certificate for purchases over 25,000 won on more than 40 'Peacock Jesuyong' event products until the last day of the Chuseok holiday on the 18th. Prices of event products have been lowered following last month's strengthening of Peacock's 'premium cost-effectiveness' identity. For example, Peacock Tteokgalbi and Peacock White Songpyeon have been reduced by up to 16% compared to previous prices.
Emart's deli corner also launched Chuseok-themed menus. Representative items include the 'Alchan Modeumjeon Set,' which consists of six types of jeon such as Osaekjeon, Dongtaejeon, Wanja-jeon, and Yukjeon in one pack. Additionally, various types of namul, which have a short shelf life and are prepared just before the holiday, are also offered.
Traders Wholesale Club is also participating in stabilizing holiday grocery prices by holding special discounts on family food items. Until the 15th, when Shinsegae points are accumulated, 'Bibigo Eonyang-style Crispy Bulgogi' and 'Dongwon Gaeseong Wan Mandu' are discounted by 2,000 won and 1,500 won respectively.

Choi Jin-il, Emart's marketing manager, said, "Convenient ancestral rite table items are gaining popularity among both 'Honchu-jok' who spend Chuseok alone and 'Charye-jok' who prepare the ancestral rite table themselves," adding, "We planned the event so that customers can prepare holiday food affordably amid high inflation."
