The 6th Sinan Island King Prawn Festival will be held on Palgeumdo Island in Sinan County from the 27th of this month to October 6th.
Held for the sixth time this year, the 'Island King Prawn Festival' started in 2010 on Sinui-do Island, then moved to Jangsan-do and Anjwa-do Islands, and following last year, it will again take place on Palgeumdo Island this year.
Last year, over 9,000 visitors attended. This year, by holding the event in late September to avoid the continuous heatwave, the festival plans to offer enjoyment to visitors tired from the heat through various performance programs and king prawn dishes.
During the event period, weekdays will focus on the sale of agricultural and marine products, while weekends will feature performances and tourist participation programs together.
Sinan County supports visitor convenience facilities such as the installation of portable toilets and continues efforts to protect the environment through the promotion of a 'festival without single-use items.'
