Daejeon City announced that it has secured 5.13 billion KRW in national funding for the 2025 Green Belt Resident Support Project.
In particular, the "Bangdong Waterfront Leisure Green Space Development Project (Phase 2)" was selected as an exemplary case for contributing to budget savings (70 million KRW) by creating a leisure and relaxation space for experience and healing in nature, and received an incentive of 500 million KRW.

A city official stated, "We will thoroughly carry out the preliminary administrative procedures for the project, discover projects that residents want, and fully convey the necessity to central government ministries, doing our best to secure national funding for the 2026 Resident Support Project as well."
