View original imageOn this day, the National Human Rights Commission announced that former Constitutional Court Justice Chang-ho Ahn was appointed as the 10th Chairperson and officially took office. Chairperson Ahn's term is three years, lasting until September 5, 2027.
Chairperson Ahn graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Sociology and completed the 14th class of the Judicial Research and Training Institute. He has since served as a prosecutor in the Human Rights Division of the Ministry of Justice, chief prosecutor of Daejeon District Prosecutors' Office and Seoul High Prosecutors' Office, justice of the Constitutional Court, chairman of the Advisory Committee of the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials, and legal counsel at the law firm Hwawoo.
